5th Grade Yom Dor L鈥橠or

天美传媒视频鈥檚 fifth graders hosted a special event鈥擸om Dor L鈥橠or, a program that gives students the opportunity to learn alongside their parents, grandparents, and extended family while exploring their very own Family Heritage Museum!
The highlight of the morning was the Living Museum, where students displayed cherished family artifacts, each telling a powerful story of Jewish heritage. From religious traditions to immigration journeys, lifecycle milestones, and the Shoah, these heirlooms offered a glimpse into the past. Students researched their artifacts, wrote detailed labels, created digital collages, and explored the meaning behind their names.
Beyond the museum, families, students, and guests engaged in meaningful learning, uncovering the stories, traditions, and values that connect us across generations. The fifth graders took on the role of teachers, guiding their families through the transmission of Torah from generation to generation, using sources from Tanach and Torah Shebe鈥檃l Peh.
Through storytelling, hands-on projects, and conversations, Yom Dor L鈥橠or was a celebration of the past and a bridge to the future.
