Third Grade Wacky Wax Museum

Did you know that Simone Biles taught herself how to flip off of a mailbox? Or that baseball legend Derek Jeter had to sign a contract with his father, promising to complete his homework and chores before stepping onto the field? Last week, the 天美传媒视频 Third Grade鈥檚 Annual Wacky Wax Museum brought history to life in an interactive way.

Each student transformed into a famous figure they had researched, dressing in character and standing perfectly still鈥攗ntil a visitor “activated” them by performing a specific action. For instance, signing the Declaration of Independence brought Benjamin Franklin to life, ready to share his remarkable story! Visitors were enthralled by fascinating details about each historical figure鈥檚 early life and achievements, as well as the many challenges they overcame on their journeys to success.

Adding to the excitement, students incorporated creative props to complement their dazzling costumes. The Wacky Wax Museum featured a bright yellow handmade airplane for Amelia Earhart, Gatorade and Coke bottles, balance beams, Nobel Peace Prizes, old-fashioned telephones, and even a giant inflatable baseball bat!

This year鈥檚 Wax Museum also welcomed exciting new additions, including Eli Cohen, Ringo Starr, Ruth Handler, John F. Kennedy, Noah Lyles, and Est茅e Lauder. Each third grader shared a meaningful message inspired by their chosen figure:

鈥淲hen something is hard, try to find the magic to make it work.鈥

鈥淭rue power isn鈥檛 just wearing a crown, but being a loving, kind person.鈥

鈥淚f something goes wrong, glide through it.鈥

鈥淭ake a shot. If you miss, get the rebound and shoot again.鈥

鈥淵our creative ideas can connect people all over the world.鈥

Through this interactive experience, third graders not only deepened their historical knowledge but also found inspiration鈥攍earning that determination and perseverance are key ingredients to greatness.

Thank you to all of the visiting family members who brought the 天美传媒视频 Wacky Wax Museum to life with their enthusiasm and engagement, and to the third grade faculty for their dedication to this special program.
